Art Exhibit: Echoes of Resilience
“Echoes of Resilience” is a black and white portrait series showcasing the enduring strength of elderly Afghans who have weathered five decades of conflict. Each face tells a story of war, loss, and an unyielding hope for peace. These individuals have lived through a lifetime of turmoil, believing conflict was a part of their identity, only to realize it stemmed from misguided leadership and choices.
Through their eyes, we glimpse the silent struggles and resilience of a people who have yearned for tranquility. This series invites the audience to reflect on Afghanistan’s long history of war and the human cost it has exacted, reminding us that peace is not an elusive dream but a shared responsibility.
