Sports Weekly is a weekly sports and community newspaper dedicated to celebrating student-athletes, teams, schools and local stories across Cecil County and the surrounding region.
Founded with a mission to shine a brighter spotlight on high school, middle school, youth, college and community sports, Sports Weekly provides game coverage, feature stories, photography, social media updates and special sections that recognize the hard work and accomplishments of local athletes, coaches and families.
More than just a newspaper, Sports Weekly is also a hands-on training ground for the next generation of photographers, reporters, editors, designers and media professionals. Through student internships and real-world media opportunities, Sports Weekly gives young people the chance to build skills in journalism, photography, social media, video production and newspaper design while covering the communities they call home.
