North East Fire Company, Inc. in North East, Maryland, is a dynamic combination volunteer and career fire and EMS provider serving a 66 sq mi community—including the town and shoreline areas on the Chesapeake Bay. With over 200 volunteer members and over 10 career EMS staff, the department averages around 2,500 EMS calls and over 850 fire/rescue incidents annually. Their modern fleet includes ALS/BLS ambulances, fire engines, a ladder truck, rescue and brush units, and water rescue equipment. Beyond emergency response, the company leads numerous community outreach and fire prevention programs, offers rich training opportunities, and supports its members and their families.
